GRADE THREE TEACHER - (JAN 4 - MARCH 7, 2027) Oak Ridge Schools is seeking a dedicated third grade teacher to provide engaging instruction, support student growth, and create a positive classroom environment. JOB EXPECTATIONS:
• Demonstrate knowledge of child development and an understanding of the academic, social, and emotional needs of third grade learners.
• Establish a supportive learning environment with effective classroom management.
• Implement Behavior Improvement Plans as applicable.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
• Use effective instructional methods and differentiate instruction to meet students' learning needs.
• Organize and plan instruction aligned with applicable Tennessee academic standards.
• Evaluate instructional effectiveness and monitor student progress to guide instruction.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate knowledge of third grade subject areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal/Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
• Valid Tennessee teaching license with an appropriate endorsement for teaching third grade.
• Teaching experience preferred.
