About this role
We are seeking a School Nurse who is committed to providing students with the highest level of care. Our school is looking for an experienced individual with a strong background in public health, medical screening and infection control. We're especially interested in candidates who are passionate about encouraging healthy habits in students and improving safety in our school environment. Responsibilities:
• Provide basic medical care to students and staff.
• Screen students for conditions that need immediate medical attention.
• Provide information about health-related topics to the school's faculty and staff.
• Communicate with parents and guardians.
• Dispense medications prescribed by physicians to students.
• Handle student health emergencies (e.g., allergic reactions, abnormal vital signs) and file insurance claims as needed.
• Provide first aid as needed.
