Reports To: Site Director / Site Administrator
Job Goal The Testing Paraprofessional provides supervision, monitoring, and operational support for students participating in online testing and assessments. This position is responsible for maintaining a secure, quiet, and compliant testing environment while ensuring that online testing procedures and protocols are strictly followed. Qualifications
• Education: High School Diploma required; Associate Degree, two years of accredited college coursework (60+ semester hours), or a valid Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate preferred.
• Experience: Experience supervising students or proctoring online educational assessments preferred.
• Technical Skills:
• Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with online testing applications, web browsers, and student data systems.
• Knowledge of using the Google Suite of products and comfortable with creating/using Google Meets rooms.
• Fast, reliable internet connection
• Interpersonal & Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive, professional relationships with students, staff, and site leadership.
• Security & Integrity: High level of integrity and attention to detail regarding test security, student data privacy, and FERPA compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Test Monitoring & Online Proctoring
• Active supervision of students taking online tests to ensure adherence to testing instructions, time limits, and academic integrity guidelines.
• Maintain a quiet, structured, and distraction-free testing environment conducive to student focus.
• Prevent and address any unauthorized materials, electronic devices, or improper behavior during testing sessions.
• Testing Preparation & Technical Support
• Assist in logging students into online testing software, and verifying student identity.
• Assist students with basic technical troubleshooting (e.g., login issues, freeze screens) during testing sessions.
• Coordinate with site technology staff or testing coordinators to report software, hardware, or network disruptions.
• Testing Accommodations & Compliance
• Verify and support the implementation of approved testing accommodations for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEP), 504 plans, or English Learner (EL) plans under the guidance of the Site Director or Testing Coordinator.
• Adhere to all Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) and Foothills Regional High School testing policies, guidelines, and security requirements.
• Documentation & Record Keeping
• Track and maintain precise logs of student testing attendance, test completion status, and session start/end times.
• Ensure secure sign-in and sign-out procedures for testing materials, passwords, and access codes.
• Report any test irregularities, violations, or technical errors immediately to the Site Director or Designee.
• Professional Expectations & Confidentiality
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student records, testing scores, and accommodation details in accordance with FERPA and district policy.
• Participate in system-wide or site-based testing training and professional development as required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Site Director or Executive Director.
