The State College Area School District is currently accepting applications for a Co-Ed Swimming Assistant Coach position at the high school. The coaches are responsible for providing leadership and guidance to student-athletes as well as supporting the overall vision for the program. We are seeking a positive, passionate, enthusiastic individual who will not only instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and physical training, but also guide and mentor them to be driven and responsible student-athletes and citizens. The Assistant Coaches report to the head coach in support of program goals and initiatives. Applicants must possess or be able to obtain a valid Red Cross Lifeguarding and/or Water Safety Instructor (WSI), CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid certifications. Both the PA Dept. of Education and the PIAA require specific safety and coaching training. See the Athletics website for details.
