POSITION: Long Term Substitute Health Teacher (1.0) (This is a vacancy due to a leave of absence) Furnace Brook Middle School STARTING DATE: Approximately January 4, 2027 until the end of the 2026-2027 school year, scheduled June 17, 2027 SALARY: $140.00 per day for first 20 days; (Bachelors, Step 1) $323.46 per day starting 21st day ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP OR LINE OF AUTHORITY: Directly responsible to Coordinator Comprehensive Health and Building Principal QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master's preferred.
• MA DESE License in Health/Family and Consumer Science (All).
• Understanding of middle school concepts and adolescents.
• Knowledge of issues of health education in middle schools.
• Knowledge and application of curriculum frameworks.
• Work effectively with staff and parents.
