General Purpose Responsible for providing administrative support for the coordination, leadership, and oversight for the district's K-3 early literacy tutoring program across all 10 elementary schools under the direction of the District's Elementary ELA Administrator. The position supports program implementation, literacy planning, coordination of tutors and community partners. They will monitor student data and ensure alignment with the goals and objectives of the early literacy grant. Main Tasks and Responsibilities
• Literacy Program Assistance: Provide leadership, coordination, and administrative support for district-wide early literacy tutoring initiatives across all 10 elementary schools.
• Tutor & Partner Coordination: Coordinate literacy tutors, liaise with school staff, and collaborate with external partners (such as UWNU) to support program goals.
• Grant Implementation & Planning: Assist district ELA administrators with K-3 literacy planning, assist with program execution, and monitor progress toward grant objectives.
• Data Management & Tracking: Monitor, compile, and enter student literacy data into district software and databases to evaluate program performance and fulfill grant reporting requirements.
• Administrative & Clerical Support: Utilize spreadsheet, word processing, and database applications to prepare statistical reports, manage program records, and handle routine correspondence.
• Communication & Logistics: Schedule meetings, record minutes, prepare information packets, and distribute materials to participating elementary schools, parents, and staff.
• Supplies & Purchasing: Order and stock necessary literacy tutoring materials and supplies according to district purchasing processes.
Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of related clerical, administrative, or program support experience.
• Proficiency in computers, word processing, spreadsheets, and database data entry.
• Strong organization, communication, and record-keeping skills.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
• The position is housed at the district office and involves regular contact with district administrators, elementary school principals, teachers, tutors, and community partners.
• Standard office working environment requiring light physical exertion (walking, standing, light physical activity)
