Job Title: Special Education Progress Report Writer Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Special Education Progress Report Writer to draft, update, and manage clear, accurate progress reports for special education students. In this role, you will analyze student data, review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and translate objective tracking into well-written summaries that reflect each student's academic and developmental milestones. Position filled on an as-needed basis to cover long-term leaves of absence for Intervention Specialists. Key Responsibilities:
• Review raw performance data, work samples, and teacher observations to evaluate student progress toward IEP goals. • Write detailed, objective, and easy-to-understand progress reports adhering to compliance standards and school deadlines. • Collaborate with special education teachers, therapists, and administrators to ensure accurate reporting. • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student records and legal compliance (FERPA/IDEA). Qualifications:
• Exceptional written communication, editing, and organizational skills. • Familiarity with Special Education standards, terminology, and IEP goal frameworks. • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze educational tracking data. • Degree in Education, English, Special Education, or related experience preferred. Pay: $35/progress report
