TITLE:Skilled Utility Technician SALARY:Salary will be commensurate with training, experience and education. (Scale 114)
DEPARTMENT:Maintenance LENGTH OF CONTRACT:245 days QUALIFICATIONS:
• A minimum high school diploma is a requirement for this position. • Have knowledge and background concerning general maintenance and construction. • SC Driver's License • Minimum experience shall be knowledge of general building repair, maintenance and commercial construction. Possess experience and knowledge operating construction tools to construction tasks assigned. General knowledge to perform construction tasks such as general site work, painting, carpentry, roofing, masonry, concrete or finishes installation. Five years of experience is required.

JOB SUMMARY:Operate construction tools and perform general construction and maintenance duties
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Skillfully operate and perform routine maintenance with a variety of construction tools. (Example: saws, rotor-drills, demolition hammers, nail guns, etc.). • Routinely and consistently work on assigned tasks as directed by the Assistant Director or Director. • Possess a general knowledge to perform construction task such as general site work, painting, carpentry, roofing, masonry, concrete or finishes installation. Be proficient in at least two of these skills. • Cooperate with other Team Members to achieve the goals assigned to the Team. • Engage in additional training and skill improvement as instructed by the Director of Facilities.
