About this role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Part-Time Waiting Staff / Front of House team member to join our busy Italian restaurant in the heart of Sligo. This position is ideal for someone with previous restaurant experience who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys working with customers and can perform confidently in a busy, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Welcoming and seating guests in a friendly and professional manner. • Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. • Serving food and drinks while maintaining excellent customer service standards. • Answering telephone enquiries and managing restaurant reservations. • Assisting with bar service when required. • Completing end-of-day floor and beverage stock checks. • Maintaining a clean, organised and professional front-of-house environment. • Monitoring the cleanliness and presentation of guest restrooms and customer areas. • Working closely with the rest of the team to ensure smooth and efficient service. Requirements • Minimum 1 year of previous waiting/front-of-house experience in a restaurant environment is required. • Good spoken English and excellent communication skills. • Friendly, confident and professional manner. • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure. • Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness. • Reliable, punctual and team-oriented. • Weekend availability is essential. • Flexibility to work evenings, particularly Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Position This is a part-time position, primarily covering busy evening and weekend services. We are particularly interested in applicants who can provide reliable and consistent weekend availability.
