About this role

Job summary

The Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) and Early Detection and Intervention Team (EDIT) provide specialist support for people experiencing a first episode of psychosis, or who may be at increased risk of developing psychosis. We work closely with service users, families, carers and partner agencies to deliver timely, recovery-focused care and improve outcomes.

We are looking for an organised and motivated Team Administrator to join our friendly multidisciplinary team. Based in Swinton, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the service, acting as a key point of contact for service users, carers, clinicians and partner organisations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a specialist mental health service while helping to ensure high-quality, responsive care for the people who use our services.

Main duties of the job

The Team Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative support across the EIP and EDIT pathways, including appointment management, minute-taking, managing referrals and correspondence, maintaining clinical systems, and supporting the coordination of service delivery.

Key responsibilities include booking appointments using the PARIS patient administration system, liaising with service users and clinicians to ensure timely access to care, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the wider operational needs of the team, including meeting room and stock management.

This is a part-time position (18.75 hours per week) based in Swinton. We offer a range of flexible working options, including school hours, condensed hours, and other working patterns, which can be discussed at interview.

Job description Job responsibilities

To directly negotiate appointment slots with clinicians in order that service users can take place within stated target times and standards according to the NHS Plan. Typing of all clinical correspondence. Coordinating and directing service user contact via telephone call, email or letter. Greeting service users, carers and other visitors when required. Ensure an effective and efficient booking service is provided with service user negotiation in accordance with the targets stated in the NHS Plan. Direct making of appointments according to booking and waiting time policies.

The ability to navigate IT systems, inc. Excel, Word and Microsoft teams

Desirable

NHS administration background. Knowledge of the PARIS system.
