This is an opportunity to work in the Administration team in the Community Equipment Service in Worcestershire.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team in our busy and well-established service. Worcestershire Community Equipment Service provides essential equipment to people in their homes. This role is imperative to the efficient operation of this service and involves high levels of communication with patients and their families, and the clinical teams who refer into our service. We are committed to providing you with the resources you need to develop and progress a long-term career in the NHS.

Main duties of the job
The role will involve a variety of administrative tasks as set out in the job description and is based in a warehouse environment.
Working closely with both the administration and warehouse teams, duties will include dealing with telephone and personal callers to the service, arranging deliveries/collections, supporting warehouse processes and general office housekeeping tasks. Responsibilities will include maintaining full computer records as required. Some manual handling tasks may be required.
The applicant will be expected to have good interpersonal and IT skills and be willing to learn and develop within the team. Full training on all systems will be provided.

Job description Job responsibilities
Duties will involve answering calls and emails, from both clinicians referring into the service and patients and their families with enquiries about equipment provided by the service, in a compassionate and professional manner. All enquiries should be dealt with efficiently, providing advice and signposting to alternative services for further support where appropriate. Supporting the referral pathway for prescribed equipment, arranging deliveries and collections of equipment. Supporting clinicians and others who attend the site to collect equipment. Maintaining full computer records on the Equipment Service IT system (ELMs). Booking equipment out for delivery and collection and data inputting to the system. Work collaboratively with the admin team to ensure all aspects of the service are maintained

Qualifications Essential
Educated to academic Level 2 (e.g. GCSE Grade A-C, NVQ2, OCR/RSA2, City and Guilds 2) in a Business Administration-related subject Or Considerable recent NHS administrative experience and will be expected to undertake the relevant level 2 qualification on appointment to post)

Recent, relevant experience in an Administrative/Secretarial/ Reception Role
