Job summary
This is an excellent opportunity for doctors wanting to join our enthusiastic and dynamic team and to gain experience in Emergency Medicine and teach at a busy Emergency Department and Major Trauma Centre.
We are looking for candidates at the equivalent of ST3 level or above with previous experience of teaching and SIM. Experience of working in the NHS is essential.
This would be an excellent role for those taking an OOP before or during higher training or for those on the CESR pathway
Main duties of the job
1. The Clinical Fellows are required to perform clinical work in the Emergency Department, as the first doctor to see patients with the range of problems that present to a busy Emergency Department.
2. The successful applicants will be expected to contribute to the smooth running of the department, as required.
3. The postholder is expected to take part in the shop floor teaching of junior doctors and medical students and to support clinical training for EM clinicians including organising and running SIM sessions.
