About this role
Job summary The Inventory Controller is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of inventory services within designated areas of the Trust. The role ensures that clinical and operational teams have timely access to the products and supplies required to support patient care. Using inventory management systems and barcode technology, the post holder manages stock replenishment, ordering, receipt, storage, distribution, and stock control activities while maintaining accurate records and compliance with Trust procedures
The role is a full time 37.5-hour week. As required, you may need to work the occasional weekend and bank holiday working

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Attainment of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) certificate/foundation level qualifications or NVQ level 3 qualification in a supply chain, customer care or transferable subject or equivalent training and/or proven professional experience
Desirable
Fork lift truck training Evidence of continuing professional development Full car driving licence
Experience / Knowledge Essential
Experience of inventory / materials management or warehousing processes Knowledge of operational buying processes, goods receipt/return etc. Knowledge of inventory management systems and theory

Operational experience gained within a multifunctional procurement or supply chain te
Techinal Skills Competencies Essential
Good keyboard skills with working knowledge of applications including MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook Able to operate simple machinery to facilitate safe manual handling

Good customer care & approachable attitude Able to undertake manual handling tasks Able to work flexibly within a shift pattern which may include occasional weekend and bank holiday working
