Are you passionate about preserving our heritage and bringing local stories to life?
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and coordination of the Clutha District Libraries heritage activities and resources. You will play a key role in the community by liaising with heritage related organisations and volunteers to maintain and promote the libraries heritage content and services for years to come.
This is a part-time role offering a minimum of 18 hours per week.
What You'll Do:
• Lead the development and curation of the Clutha District Community Heritage digital repository.
• Train and support users to effectively utilise and promote heritage ‘digihubs’ in each library around the Clutha District.
• Develop and maintain heritage resources, content, policies and procedures for heritage materials in both physical and digital forms.
• Capture significant local events for preservation.
What you will bring:
• An archival or an equivalent qualification in a related field with relevant experience.
• A genuine passion for heritage, history and preserving of historical content.
• Ability to produce engaging and informative promotional content, programmes and activities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with community groups.
• A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for connecting people with our local heritage.
