Role Purpose: We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Office Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas of the distribution centre are clean, organised, and maintained to a high standard, providing a healthy and pleasant working atmosphere for colleagues and visitors. This role will be based in our Basildon Distribution Centre paying £12.71 per hour. Shift pattern is as follows - Monday 5 hours Tuesday 5 hours Wednesday 5 hours Thursday 5 hours Friday 5 hours Shift pattern will be 10am - 3pm. Main Tasks and responsibilities: General Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including desks, shelves, and cabinets. Clean and sanitise restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure the area is well-maintained. Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste responsibly. Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces. Ensure all common areas, including break rooms and kitchens, are clean and organised. Specialised Cleaning: Clean carpets and upholstery as needed. Clean and maintain office equipment (e.g., microwaves, refrigerators, coffee machines). Inventory Management: Monitor and manage cleaning supplies inventory, requesting restocks when necessary. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations regarding cleaning chemicals and equipment use. Ensure that cleaning practices do not pose a risk to the safety or health of colleagues. Occasional Duties: Assist with setup and breakdown of office events or meetings. Other general office maintenance tasks as directed.
