Permanent, Term Time Only plus 1 additional dayPart Time, 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8:45am - 3:15pm)Salary NJC Grade SO1, Scale Points 23 - 25, £35,570 - £37,562 per annum Actual Salary £24,309 - £25,671 per annum Required for September 2026 The Governors are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our Catholic primary school. The position is suitable for qualified HLTAs and candidates who have qualified teaching status. This is a varied, rewarding role ideal for someone who enjoys flexibility and supporting children’s learning.
As an HLTA, you will support teaching across the school, including covering classes during short-term teacher absence and delivering high-quality PPA cover. You’ll work closely with staff and leaders to maintain continuity of learning and a positive classroom environment.
Teaching Assistant support staff are also important members of our Lunchtime Team.
We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant who:
Supports the Catholic/Christian ethos of the school. Is a talented primary practitioner with high expectations and standards, who will be committed to the progress of all children. Has experience in working with children in EYFS. Has experience of working with children with EAL and supporting SEN pupils. Is able to use their initiative and work flexibly supported by a strong team. Is an excellent communicator, able to liaise successfully with children, colleagues and parents. Will be committed to attending staff and moderation meetings across the Trust, and after school.What we can offer you:
