The Business Unit Robotics develops, produces and distributes pipetting robots for the automation of liquid handling processes for a wide range of customers from the pharmaceutical and food industry, all the way to cell and DNA research.
Job Description:
• Provide 2nd-level support for Creo Parametric, Windchill, and related tools, including systematic error analysis, problem resolution, and the coordination of escalations
• Support MCAD Key Users and engineering departments with application- and process-related questions
• Maintain and further develop MCAD application configurations, templates, and engineering standards, ensuring consistent use across engineering teams.
• Maintain the mechanical standard-parts library and ensure the quality, consistency, and controlled use of reusable CAD content.
• Maintain the PartsLink classification structure, classes, attributes, and value lists, and support the effective search and reuse of existing components.
• Provide functional support for Windchill Navigate.
• Perform functional testing and support the rollout of new configurations, application versions, and releases.
• Maintain user documentation and provide technical content for user training coordinated by the Training team and external training providers.
• Identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external implementation partners on sustainable solutions.
Professional experience & skills desired to have:
• Technical education as a design engineer, mechanical engineer, engineering technician, or a comparable qualification.
• 5+ years of practical experience in mechanical product engineering and 3D CAD.
• Good knowledge of Creo Parametric; experience with Windchill PDM Link is a strong advantage.
• Experience in the functional support and configuration of MCAD or PDM applications within an engineering environment.
• Understanding of CAD structures, drawings, parameters, materials, standard parts, and engineering master data.
• Knowledge of PartsLink, classification systems, or Windchill Navigate is an advantage, combined with the willingness to further develop your expertise.
• Proven ability to analyze complex application and process issues, identify root causes, and implement reliable, quality-focused solutions in a structured manner.
• Clear and effective communication, a strong service mindset, and the ability to coordinate solutions across engineering teams, IT, and external partners.
• High intrinsic motivation, a hands-on mindset, and a strong sense of ownership for driving issues through to sustainable resolution.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; German language skills are an advantage.
