The Procedure Lead RN assists in operations including helping set up the operating suite and maintaining the sterile field, transporting patients to surgery, and assisting with procedures. In this role you will provide professional care for patients under the supervision of the provider and educate patients on procedures and follow up care. You will also assist in the orientation and continuing education of other staff in the perioperative area by assisting with the implementation of all policies and procedures for designated specialty area.

• Typical patient ratios of 1:2
• We have a 1.0 Days shift available with alternating weekends / holidays plus call requirements of one night a week and one weekend every 6 weeks.
• Serves as liaison and coordinates all aspects of care by partnering with physicians (surgeons and anesthesiologists) and vendors to ensure specialty area needs are addressed
• Provides training to staff and Residents on changes to or new supplies, equipment and procedures relevant to specialty area
• Seeks best practice for improvement in specialty area
• Collaborates with patients and their families, (and or primary caregiver), as well as members of a multidisciplinary team, to ensure optimal patient outcomes and enhancement of the patient experience.
• Assesses, collects, and analyzes comprehensive objective, subjective, psychosocial, and cultural data pertinent to patient condition; plan of care is developed and implemented in collaboration with the patient and family; ensures the plan of care is continually reviewed and revised as the patient’s condition warrants.
• Prioritizes and implements the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, employs interventions to improve patient outcomes while providing a safe, respectful, and ethical practice environment.
• Communicates timely changes in patient assessment/ongoing reassessment to providers that warrant consideration and/or a change in the plan of care and maintains, and coordinates communication with all members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate safe transitions and continuity in care delivery.
Qualifications
• Required Associate's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
• 2 years Operating Room Required
• Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
• Unit Specific Certifications - Franciscan Alliance
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association
