About this Opportunity:

This position is part of Ensign College's Immersive Learning Student Employment Program. The focus of this program is providing student employees opportunities to gain real-world, career applicable skills and experience, reinforced with integrated mentoring and a course (CAR295) that helps reinforce CWC learning.

Unlike traditional student employment, Immersive Learning positions combine hands-on work experience with guided reflection through CAR 295R, helping students strengthen College Wide Capabilities while building career-ready skills.

As a participant in this program, student employees will:

• Enroll in CAR 295R (0.5 credit) each semester they are employed (up to three semesters).

• Complete a College Wide Capability Project each semester that connects workplace experiences with professional learning and career development.

• Participate in periodic program assessments that help the College evaluate the impact of the Immersive Learning experience.

Position Summary:

The Student Financial Aid Marketing Liaison position provides operational support to Financial Aid & Scholarships by improving communications and publications related to financial aid and scholarships. This position develops professional communication and marketing skills while ensuring that students understand their options, requirements and next steps. The Financial Aid Marketing Liaison develops website updates and resources that ensure clarity and compliance with federal regulations and institutional policies and processes.

In addition to fulfilling this purpose, each employee continuously strives to bring about the mission of Ensign College, which is to develop capable and trusted disciples of Jesus Christ who are leaders in their homes, the Church, and their communities.

Specific Summary of Duties:

• Develop and review communications and publications related to financial aid and scholarships to ensure students know their options, requirements and next steps. • Draft website updates and informational resources that support clarity and compliance. • Increase understanding by ensuring important financial aid and scholarship information is communicated proactively. • Maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA and institutional policies. • Manage daily office responsibilities, prioritize assignments, and contribute to an efficient and collaborative team environment. • Escalate complex processing concerns to professional staff when appropriate. • Lead and complete additional projects as assigned

Job Qualification:

• Currently enrolled as an Ensign College student taking at least six credits and in good academic standing. • Strong English written and verbal communication skills and confidence. • Excellent interpersonal skills and writing/editing experience. • Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and detail oriented. • Ability to solve problems, ask questions, and work both independently. • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and able to learn new software quickly.

• Be currently enrolled as an Ensign College student taking at least 6 credits (3 per block) and in good academic standing. • Refrain from behavior or expression that seriously and adversely affects the college mission or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. • Act in accordance with the Church Educational System Honor Code and the Dress and Grooming Principles and Expectations. • Comply with all college policies and procedures. • Commit to bring about the purposes of Ensign College. • Maintain these conditions of employment on an ongoing basis.
