Baptist Health is hiring a Patient Access Representative III to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist ED North located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time shift opportunity with assignments across one or more campuses as needed.

Shift Details: Wednesday-Friday 645pm-715am

Patient Access Services plays an important role in creating a seamless patient experience while supporting accurate registration, financial clearance, and front-end revenue cycle functions. The Patient Access Representative III is an advanced-level team member who supports complex patient access activities, serves as a resource to team members, and helps maintain daily operational continuity. The ideal candidate will have strong patient access or revenue cycle experience and may have prior experience as a trainer, preceptor, resource, or shift lead.

Patient Access Representative III Job Responsibilities:

• Perform complex patient registration, insurance verification, financial clearance, scheduling, and other front-end revenue cycle functions. • Serve as a subject matter resource for Patient Access workflows, processes, and procedures. • Assist with issue resolution and provide support to team members to maintain daily operational continuity. • Provide shift-level guidance, training, coaching, and mentorship to Patient Access team members as assigned. • Support accurate and timely insurance verification, authorization, and financial clearance activities. • Assist with operational coverage and weekend on-call responsibilities for one or more campuses as assigned. • Maintain compliance with applicable Patient Access policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and patient privacy standards.

Patient Access Representative III Experience:

• Three or more years of patient access, hospital registration, scheduling, insurance verification, authorization, financial clearance, or revenue cycle experience. • Experience serving as a trainer, preceptor, resource, or shift lead. • Customer service experience. • Healthcare experience. • Insurance experience.

Patient Access Representative III Education & Credential Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. (Required) • Associate degree or healthcare-related coursework. • Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA).
