Department/Location: Office of the School of Arts and Humanities, Cambridge
The School of Arts and Humanities is seeking a motivated and customer focused IT Technician to join the School IT Team. This is a key front line role providing IT and AV support across several institutions within the School.
Working as part of a collaborative and well established team, you will support a diverse academic community and contribute to the smooth running of IT services across the School.
This position is particularly suited to applicants who already understand the University's IT environment, governance, and support structures.

You'll be joining a School that includes eight faculties and three other institutions, supporting around 650 staff - which provides variety, challenges, and room to grow.
What You'll Be Doing:
Acting as the first point of contact for IT support queries Troubleshooting issues across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android Supporting teaching spaces, meeting rooms, and AV equipment Assisting with device setup, configuration, and maintenance Working with local IT staff and the wider IT community Contributing to service improvements and knowledge sharing
What We're Looking For

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Experience supporting end users in a technical environment Confidence working across multiple operating systems A collaborative approach and willingness to learn Education to A Level standard or equivalent experience
