About the role As a Field Application Engineer based in the USA, you will play a key role in ensuring an outstanding customer experience throughout the after-sales journey. You will deliver customer training and technical support, helping customers maximize the value of Distran's products while building strong, long-term relationships.Working closely with our Sales and Development teams, you will contribute to customer success by increasing customer satisfaction and engagement, identifying opportunities for product and process improvements, and providing valuable feedback from the field to support the continuous evolution of our solutions.In this role you will:<ul><li style="line-height:normal;">Organize and conduct product trainings for customers, either at customers’ sites in the US, or remotely. Ensure technical training programs fit customer needs s – discuss and understand customer’s detailed technical requirements, assess specific questions and adapt the necessary training delivery approach.</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Conduct internal product and application trainings for the Distran Business Development team and Distributors. Ensure that the sales organization in the US is properly trained and up-to-date on the latest product modifications and camera usages.</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Ensure high quality technical support to customers.</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Provide technical assistance to the Business Development team during the customers´ qualification stage, demonstrations or general meetings with potential customers.</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Collect information about end-user applications</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Synthesize and share information collected at customer sites about operational market intelligence.</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Support regulatory and compliance activities, including applications to the EPA or other relevant authorities, by contributing technical information, and documentation as required. </li><li style="line-height:normal;">Support product development by testing new products and features, providing structured feedback, and representing the customer’s perspective throughout the development process.</li></ul> Your profile <ul><li style="line-height:normal;">Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Chemistry or related</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Previous experience in a similar role. Specifically, previous experience in technical customer support and/or client training. Experience in technical sales is a plus</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Good technical writing skills are mandatory</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Proven experience in training delivery to different audience sizes, in person and virtually (from small groups to approx. 50 participants)</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Experience in training design and development – concept and materials</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Previous technical and/or scientific publications are a plus</li><li style="line-height:normal;">EPA regulations knowledge is a plus</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Good project management skills</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Ability to work across levels, functions, and geographies</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Service orientation, customer focus and drive to help others</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Resourcefulness and solid problem-solving skills</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Emotional intelligence, composure, and ability to deal with customer requests in a diplomatic way</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Good organizational skills and flexibility. Ability to work under pressure and to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines</li><li style="line-height:normal;">Languages: fluent in English.
