Role: Data Analyst We want you on our team! Could you be our Data Analyst Location: Houston Office // Remote // Flexible Reporting To: Commercial Manager Department/Team: Shipping Administration Employment Type: Full-Time Travel Requirements: None Key Technologies/Tools: Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as GACagent and GACShip (training provided on the job). Desk Job: Must be able to sit long periods of time at a computer. What would your day at GAC look like? Maintain, update, validate, and upload customer tariffs, supplier tariffs, port tariffs, and service rate structures within GACagent. Perform customer and supplier master data maintenance, including Know Your Customer (KYC) updates, tariff calculations, periodic reviews, and data audits to ensure completeness, consistency, and compliance with company standards. Investigate and resolve tariff-related discrepancies and coordinate with Operations, Commercial, and Finance teams to ensure data remains current, accurate, and reliable. Gather, maintain, and organize data to support data management initiatives and business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data is accurately collected, analysed, and maintained. Troubleshoot data-related issues and implement solutions to improve data quality, integrity, and reliability. Maintain customer master data and ensure billing instructions are accurately recorded and updated within GACagent. Provide local system and process training to employees requiring additional support, ensuring effective utilization of GACagent and related data management processes. Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance data management, tariff maintenance, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency. What’s in it for you?
