About this role
Your Role & Responsibilities • Design, build and own the software test automation infrastructure and frameworks for the Robotics team's software systems • Develop automated test suites covering unit, integration, system and regression testing across robotics software components • Work closely with robotics software engineers to define testable requirements and embed quality practices early in the development cycle ("shift-left" testing) • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated automated testing (build, test, deploy) • Identify, triage and track defects; collaborate with engineers to root-cause and resolve issues • Define test strategy, coverage metrics and quality KPIs for the team's software deliverables • Evaluate, select and introduce the test automation tools and frameworks best suited to robotics/embedded software • Continuously improve the reliability, speed and maintainability of the test infrastructure • Act as a quality advocate within the Robotics team, promoting a strong testing culture without belonging to a separate QA function
