We are seeking a compassionate and motivated GPwER to join our ADHD team on a full-time basis. They will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the assessment, monitoring and follow up of patients with ADHD (and other neurodevelopmental disorders) for Modality LLP. They will maintain and improve standards and the quality of patient care in relation to neurodevelopmental disorders practice.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will support delivery of the community ADHD service supervised by the consultant specialist team. They will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the assessment, monitoring and follow up of patients with ADHD (and other neurodevelopmental disorders) for Modality LLP. They will maintain and improve standards and the quality of patient care in relation to neurodevelopmental disorders practice.

Our service model is mainly virtual whereby patients are assessed and managed using video and telephone consultations. A laptop and appropriate mobile working equipment will be provided.

Person Specification

Experience Essential

Minimum two years experience. Ability to demonstrate professional and clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with the post. Awareness of neurodevelopmental disorders, including experience in cross discipline and cross boundary working. Demonstration of involvement in innovations and the introduction of new practices. Experience of delivering education to patients and health professionals.

Skills Essential

High professional standards. Ability to work with all members of a multi-professional team. Evidence of innovation or awareness off. Excellent communication skills. Willingness to make presentations to multidisciplinary groups. Willingness to work flexibly on all primary care services sites, and within the community care sector as the needs of the service dictate. Computer literate. Able to drive.

Qualifications Essential

General psychiatry experience. Keen to specialise in ADHD within a community setting. Awareness of ADHD drug administration. Commitment to completing the ADHD accredited courses.
