Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for 2 Band 6 Eating Disorders Nurse to join the children and young people's eating disorder service in Coventry and Warwickshire.
This is a full time, permanent role and you will become part of a growing and thriving CAMHS eating disorders (ED) day unit and outpatient service. Nurses who are passionate about making a difference for children, young people, and families, we want to hear from you.
The Trust's CAMHS eating disorders services are expanding, with new and exciting care pathways currently in development. If you have an interest in ED, we offer a specialist and supportive environment to grow your career. There will be opportunities to become involved in-service development and delivery across a number of initiatives, and we would seek to work with you to develop your interests within the whole eating disorder pathway (CAMHS out-patient, intensive outreach and ARFID).
Main duties of the job
To provide community based treatments to Eating Disorder clients. The post holder will provide nursing input into the specialist eating disorders service, acting as care co-ordinator and implementing home treatment support for a defined caseload of clients. The post holder will manage clients with severe eating disorders who are difficult to engage in treatment, have complex care needs.
The post holder will work with the outpatient and day unit nurses and consultants to provide monitoring and support to severely unwell patients. S/he may also contribute to the pathway for clients with severe and enduring eating disorders and act as a link worker for patients who are making the transition from CAMHS to adult services. The post holder will carry out specialist nursing assessments, plan and implement care, respond appropriately to crises and maintain associated records.

NMC Registration Educated to a degree level
Experience Essential
Experience of delivering eating disorders evidence based interventions Evidence of appropriate continuing professional development activity to facilitate ongoing competence Experience in the management of children and young people presenting with high levels of distress and risk Experience in the management of complex health and social problems
