About this role
We’re a world-leading smart mobility tech company with over 1,200,000 subscribers across 23 countries and we’re looking for an experienced Automotive Electrician (IoT/GPS Installer/Speed Limiter Installer) with a proven track record to install and maintain Cartrack fleet monitoring and recovery systems according to prescribed fitment techniques and quality standards. The successful candidate will join our team in Malaysia.
Job Responsibilities:
Install and inspect vehicle speed limiters, telematic in accordance with Malaysia legislation, manufacturer guidelines, and company standards
Carry out QA inspections and fitment of Cartrack telematics devices when speed limiter work is not required
Perform functional testing, calibration, and verification of installed systems
Diagnose and rectify installation, wiring, configuration, or CAN-related faults
Ensure all telematic and speed limiter installations meet safety, quality, and compliance requirements
Complete QA reports, compliance certificates, inspection records, and installation documentation
Support internal and external audits related to speed limiter and telematics compliance
Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to workshop and fitment teams
Assist in developing and maintaining installation procedures and work instructions
Use and maintain diagnostic tools, software, and equipment correctly
Job Requirements:
Proven experience installing and inspecting vehicle / speed limiters
Strong knowledge of vehicle electrics, wiring, and CAN systems
Understanding of speed limiter legislation and compliance requirements
Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals
High attention to detail with a strong quality-driven approach
Competent in completing technical documentation and compliance paperwork
