Registered Nurse (RN) – Adolescent Behavioral Health Residential Program(QRTP)
Location: Columbus, OH (In-Person) Pay: $38.00 – $45.00 per hour Schedule: Flexible shifts with preference of 7a-7p

DTAC (Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers) is expanding—and we’re looking for a compassionate, skilled Registered Nurse (RN) who is passionate about helping adolescents heal and thrive. In this role, you’ll work in a Male Adolescent Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) supporting youth ages 10–18 with complex behavioral health, emotional, and trauma-related needs. A QRTP provides a structured, trauma-informed residential environment where adolescents receive comprehensive support from a multidisciplinary treatment team focused on safety, healing, skill development, and long-term success. Residents live on-site while participating in therapeutic, educational, and behavioral health programming designed to help them build healthy coping skills and achieve lasting positive outcomes. What You’ll Do
Clinical & Nursing Care
• Perform health assessments (vitals, injuries, behavioral and psychiatric symptoms)
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor for medication effectiveness and side effects
• Document thoroughly in EMR (MARs, nursing notes, PRNs, incidents, etc.)
• Coordinate care with providers, pharmacies, and outside medical services
Behavioral Health & Therapeutic Support
• Help maintain a structured, trauma-informed environment
• Provide education on wellness, medication, hygiene, and coping skills
• Support individualized treatment plans with the clinical team
Crisis Response & Safety
• Respond to behavioral and medical emergencies
• Use de-escalation techniques and clinical judgment under pressure
• Monitor for safety risks (self-harm, aggression, environmental concerns)
• Ensure proper protocols and safety procedures are followed
Team Collaboration
• Participate in treatment planning, team meetings, and discharge planning
• Support and guide direct care staff on medical-related matters
• Communicate effectively across shifts and departments
Compliance & Documentation
• Maintain compliance with state regulations, Medicaid standards, and agency policies
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation
• Uphold confidentiality and ethical nursing standards
What We’re Looking For
Required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• Ability to pass background checks and required screenings
• CPR & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Preferred Experience
• Adolescent behavioral health or psychiatric nursing
• Residential treatment or crisis stabilization
• Trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques
• Working with high-acuity youth populations
