About this role
C.O. Williams Construction Limited is seeking to recruit a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer with a strong health and safety background and relevant industry experience.
The ideal candidate will possess the skills required to:
• Carry out workplace inspections, instruct remedial actions and provide advice.
• Have a thorough understanding of health and safety data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
• Know and understand legislation regarding Health and Safety and their impact upon the company's operations.
• Develop and implement Health and Safety policies
• Coordinating as well as conducting HSE training to ensure that a culture of safety & health is realized and maintained.
• Investigate HSE complaints and incidents, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Certification in OSHA, NEBOSH or IOSH would be an asset.
• Experience in a Health, Safety and Environmental role or in a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A valid light goods drivers’ licence.
