What You'll Bring:
ā¢ Strong experience in Java (11 or 21) with solid understanding of object-oriented design and microservices architecture.
ā¢ Proven expertise in Spring Boot for building modular, testable, and production-grade APIs.
ā¢ Strong working knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL stores (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.).
ā¢ Experience designing and implementing efficient, scalable, and fault-tolerant services.
ā¢ Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event streaming platforms.
ā¢ Practical knowledge of RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or other message brokers.
ā¢ Experience containerizing services with Docker; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
ā¢ Deep understanding of software testing standards and experience writing tests using:
ā¢ JUnit for unit testing
ā¢ Cucumber/Gherkin for BDD-style integration tests
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Architect and develop resilient backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
ā¢ Design systems that can handle large-scale event-driven data flows using Kafka or queues.
ā¢ Write clear, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.
ā¢ Collaborate with DevOps and QA to ensure services are reliable, observable, and deployable.
ā¢ (Optional) Work on containerization and service deployment in Kubernetes environments.
Bonus Points:
ā¢ Understanding of financial systems such as:
ā¢ Payments infrastructure
ā¢ Blockchain technologies
ā¢ Card processing systems
ā¢ Payment Service Providers (PSPs)
ā¢ Experience working in regulated environments (fintech, banking, etc.).
ā¢ Familiarity with CI/CD, observability tools, and secure API development.
