About this role
Avanti is looking for a full-time maintenance technician for our manufacturing facility. Ideal candidates will have experience as a mechanic working on engines, rollers, pulleys, or fan blades. The Maintenance Technician should also have knowledge of lathe, grinder, welder, CNC, and hydraulic press. Experience with 480V 3 Phase a Plus.
• Hours: We have 2nd and 3rd shift available. Weekend days will be required.

Basic Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, swapping motors, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and decide how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as needed.
• Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using various tools, instruments or devices.
• Train or manage maintenance assistants.
• Respond to urgent needs and be flexible on hours when a machine is down.
• Other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of maintenance experience required
• Must be available on-call for maintenance emergencies
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision
• Must be able to drive a forklift truck or be willing to learn
• Must be computer literate
• Must have full body motion, to include bending, lifting and climbing of steps without assistance
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Certification or Associate's Degree program preferred
