About this role
Job Overview
As an Organic Search Content Analyst at Augurian, you’ll be in the work every day across the full organic practice: analyzing client SEO and AEO performance, supporting technical optimizations, and, above all, planning and creating the content that earns rankings and answer-engine citations. You’ll use tools like Google Search Console, SEMrush, Google Analytics, and a growing set of AI tools to understand what’s happening, figure out what to do next, and produce content at a pace and quality bar most agencies can’t match.
We’re looking for someone with a solid SEO foundation and a real love for content: someone who writes well, thinks analytically, and cares about why a piece of content works, not just whether it got done. You don’t need to have all the answers yet, but you need to want to find them. You’ll support a diverse client mix, from B2B organizations with long sales cycles to multi-location businesses in healthcare, retail, higher education, and grocery, giving you broad exposure to different audiences and business models early in your career. If you want to grow as a well-rounded organic search practitioner with content as your specialty, this is your launchpad.
SEO & AEO Execution
• Conduct keyword research and analysis to inform SEO and AEO strategies.
• Assist in developing on-page and off-page optimization recommendations.
• Apply on-page best practices: title tags, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, and schema recommendations.
• Analyze competitors’ SEO and AEO approaches and flag opportunities.
Technical SEO Support
• Leverage foundational knowledge of crawling, indexing, and ranking to identify technical SEO opportunities, especially those affecting content discoverability.
• Support the delivery and development of client SEO audits and diagnostics.
• Execute technical SEO initiatives: redirect management, internal link optimization, backlink management, and more.
Content Strategy & Planning
• Conduct topic and audience research to identify content opportunities that support SEO and AEO goals.
• Build and maintain content calendars and topic clusters aligned with client priorities and business objectives.
• Perform content gap and competitor content analyses and recommend where clients can win.
• Contribute to content strategy development under the guidance of managers and senior team members.
Content Creation & Optimization
• Create end-to-end content briefs to drive traffic through blog, landing page, location page, and resource content development.
• Write, edit, and optimize content for search engines, answer engines, and user experience.
• Refresh and consolidate existing content to recover or grow organic performance.
• Structure content so it’s clear, citable, and likely to be surfaced in AI Overviews, answer engines, and LLM-driven search.
• Ensure content meets quality standards, brand voice guidelines, and E-E-A-T expectations before delivery.
AI Tools & Learning
• Use AI tools for keyword research, outlining, drafting, and SEO auditing, applying human judgment and editorial QA to everything that ships.
• Help develop and refine AI-assisted content workflows, prompts, and templates for the team.
• Explore and experiment with AI tools relevant to content and organic search; share discoveries with the team.
Analysis & Reporting
• Monitor and analyze website performance metrics using analytics platforms.
• Track content performance, including traffic, rankings, engagement, conversions, and AI citations; identify top performers and underperformers and recommend next steps.
• Monitor client visibility across AI search experiences and flag trends.
• Generate regular reports on organic campaign performance and collaborate with team members to present findings internally.
Account Management
• Communicate campaign strategies, content plans, performance updates, and recommendations clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders on content approvals, subject-matter input, and feedback.
• Address client feedback and ensure satisfaction.
• Observe and learn from senior team members’ consultative client interactions to develop advisory skills.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with paid media, analytics, and sales teams when cross-channel value justifies the investment.
• Coordinate with client writers, designers, or contractors as needed.
Growth & Practice Development
• Learn and effectively use SEO, AEO, and analytics tools to strengthen both technical and content skills.
• Stay informed about search, content marketing, and AI best practices.
• Contribute ideas for how AI and new approaches can improve team processes and client outcomes.
Organizational Culture
• Uphold and promote the agency’s core values, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
