About the opportunity

We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Data Analyst to join our champion team.

The analyst is responsible for interpreting client's data accurately. Our Data Analysts typically work with existing structured data to solve tangible business problems using tools like Excel, SQL or Python programming languages, data visualization software, and statistical analysis.

Your skills

Data literacy: have the ability to derive meaning from data and communicate that meaning to others. Data literacy competencies include the knowledge and skills to read, analyse, interpret, visualise and communicate data as well as to understand the use of data in decision-making.

Data Collection: Analysts are required to be able to collect data themselves through various collection methods. This could include pulling data from clients/3rd parties, conducting surveys, tracking visitor characteristics on a company website, or buying datasets from data collection specialists.

Data Cleaning: An invaluable part of achieving success and one of the most critical steps in assembling any piece of analytics and often comprises a significant chunk of any data analyst’s day. Raw data might contain duplicates, errors, empty rows or outliers. Cleaning the data means maintaining the quality of data in a spreadsheet or through a programming language so that your interpretations won’t be wrong or skewed.

Analytics: Conducting Diagnostic and Descriptive analytics, and to a lesser extend, predictive analysis. An ability to understand statistical methods and business (client) logic to analyse the business problem to answer business questions and find opportunities.

Interpretation | Visualisation | Present: Find patterns or trends in data that could answer the question at hand that can be translated into actionable insights. This is a key skillset for Data Analysts to be able to translate the numbers into business insight by telling the story. Present data findings by putting together visualisation like charts and graphs, writing reports, and presenting information to stakeholders.

Scripting (Programming): Python/SQL/EXCEL to collect, clean and analyse data to spot trends that can be translated into actionable insights.

ML (Machine Learning): While not all analysts will find themselves working on machine learning projects, having a general understanding of related tools and concepts may give you an edge
