About this role

You’ll play a hands-on role in designing traffic, transport and parking solutions that make daily movement safer, easier and more accessible for our community. From investigating capital works projects to preparing construction plans and supporting project delivery, your work will help shape the infrastructure that supports a high quality of urban life across the City.

What You’ll Be Doing

Investigate and design capital works projectsPrepare construction plans and documentationAssess traffic, transport and parking designsApply relevant standards and guidelinesRespond to community and stakeholder enquiriesLiaise with consultants, contractors and agenciesPrepare cost estimates and quantitiesSupport construction-phase design advice

We’re looking for a technically capable and customer-focused engineering professional with strong design, drafting and stakeholder engagement skills. You’ll ideally bring:

Diploma qualification in Civil EngineeringRelevant civil engineering design experienceComputer-assisted drafting experienceAdvanced AutoCAD and design software skillsStrong communication and customer service skillsKnowledge of technical design standardsSound time management and organisation skillsCurrent WA C class driver’s licence At the City of Stirling, you’ll be supported to do meaningful work while enjoying benefits that help you grow, stay well and balance work with life.

Further Information

To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a current National Police Clearance under three months old, or be willing to obtain one, and maintain a current Western Australian C class driver’s licence.

A valid White Card is desirable.
