What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a hands-on and visible role across the City, including:
Responding to community safety requests, enquiries and complaintsEnforcing local laws and relevant Acts (Dog, Cat, Bush Fires, Litter, Parking)Conducting proactive patrols of council buildings, parks, reserves and public spacesManaging and investigating animal‑related incidentsIssuing parking infringements and encouraging positive complianceDelivering community education and awareness programsUsing mobile tech and GPS systems to support your field operationsSupporting the day‑to‑day functions of the Animal Care Facility
What You’ll Bring
You’re community‑minded, solutions‑focused and passionate about safety, service and teamwork. You’ll ideally have:
A Certificate in Municipal Law Enforcement or relevant experienceExperience in local government law enforcementStrong animal handling and management skillsExcellent communication and conflict‑resolution abilitiesConfidence interpreting and applying local laws and policiesIntermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)A current National Police Clearance (within 3 months)A current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence Why You’ll Love Working Here
