So, what will your day look like?
Every night shift brings variety in this rewarding role supporting one of three individual young clients, each with unique needs and personalities, where you’ll provide tailored, person-centred care and truly make a difference. You will act as a flexible night support worker across all three care packages, covering holidays and sickness for up to five nights per week across a seven-day rota, with full backing from an experienced Nurse, Care Coordinator and Client Manager. Working with young people aged 8–14, you’ll play a key role in communication and relationship-building with both clients and their families, using an iPad to accurately record shifts and medical information, and developing personalised communication approaches, including with nonverbal clients.
What you’ll need:
Reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility for night support workExcellent communication skills with young people, their families, and professional care teamsA patient, kind and caring approach, with the willingness to learn Makaton if not already trainedAbility to stay calm, confident and professional in all situationsComfortable advocating for young people and being their voice when neededCommitment to promoting choice, independence, dignity and respect at all timesWillingness to build a deep understanding of each young person’s individual needs and communication styleA positive, bubbly personality that helps make each shift reassuring and enjoyableAbility to balance being warm and friendly with maintaining professional boundariesRespectful of cultural backgrounds, medical needs and individual requirementsAccurate, timely and factual record-keeping using digital systems (iPad-based reporting) Here’s what makes us different:
