What you’ll do?
Every day as a HICSS Care Assistant is different, but your impact is always the same – helping people recover, regain independence, and remain safely at home.
You will:
Support individuals following hospital discharge or during periods of recoveryDeliver person-centred care in line with care plans and clinical guidanceAssist with personal care while promoting dignity and independenceMonitor wellbeing and report changes to the wider multidisciplinary teamSupport mobility, medication, nutrition, and daily living activitiesWork closely with healthcare professionals as part of an integrated local team What we are looking for?
HICSS roles support individuals with more complex needs, so we’re looking for people who combine compassion with capability. Whether you already have experience in care or are looking to build on a solid foundation, you’ll play a key role in supporting recovery and independence at home.
We’re looking for people who:
Have previous care experience, ideally within community, reablement, or hospital discharge settingsHold (or are willing to work towards) a relevant qualification such as a Care Certificate or NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social CareAre confident following care plans and working alongside healthcare professionalsAre observant and able to recognise and report changes in conditionAre reliable, committed, and able to work independently in the communityHave a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle What makes us different?
