About this role

Job summary Practice Plus Group is a trusted provider of urgent and out-of-hours healthcare services across the UK, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care beyond standard clinic hours. We believe in supporting our clinical teams with essential roles that help ensure patients receive timely and effective care in their homes. As an Out of Hours Driver with Practice Plus Group, you will play a vital role in facilitating patient home visits by safely transporting our clinicians to and from appointments during evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Your contribution will help us maintain seamless and efficient out of hours services, ensuring patients can access the urgent care they need when they need it most. We can offer a range of sessions to allow you to flexibly choose the right shift pattern for you. Ideally you will be flexible to work around Bank Holidays and can be available at short notice to cover sickness and cancellations and could cover all sites across the service.

Main duties of the job Safely driving Practice Plus Group clinicians to and from patient homes during out of hours shifts. Planning and managing routes efficiently to ensure timely arrival for scheduled visits. Assisting clinicians with navigation and any necessary logistics related to travel during shifts. Ensuring vehicle cleanliness, safety checks, and maintenance reporting as required. Supporting the clinical team by being a reliable and professional presence during visits. Communicating effectively with the clinical and administrative teams to coordinate travel and schedules.

About us Previous experience as a driver, preferably within a healthcare setting Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safety at all times. Excellent time management and route planning skills. Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
