About this role

Position summary: Responsible for machine preventative maintenance/changeovers, set-ups, and validations.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

Ability to perform quality testing as neededApproves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to quality and the production supervisorAssist with product changeovers as neededBack up to maintenance technician as neededClean headsCompletion of all pertinent maintenance paperwork and/or electronic data entries on tablets.General knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systemsGeneral maintenance skillAssist production team as needed; cover breaks and lunchHelp with work instruction documentationKnowledge of heat-sealing process a plusNotify lead of needed extended repairs and/or spare partsPerform product changeovers, machine set-up as neededPerform validations and fix any issuesPreventative machine maintenanceSafety consciousSet-up barcode readers and camerasReport any potential food safety, legality, quality or food defense concerns to the production manager or quality personnelFollow all documented Good Manufacturing PracticesMaintains product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systemsMust follow all company policies and proceduresMust follow PPE procedures (Personal Protection Equipment)This is a Safety Sensitive Position (drug test may be required)Non-essential skills and experience:

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Work environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is/or may be exposed to high noise levels that require hearing protection. Employee may also be required to wear safety glasses and/or safety gloves. Qualifications required:

High school/GED1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment with direct experience in machine maintenanceBasic computer skillsGood attitude; ability to work well with others and be a team playerGood communication and organization skillsKnowledge of heat-sealing processKnowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systemsMechanical troubleshooting skillsQuality and safety consciousStrong mechanical skills All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
