Centrillion is seeking a creative, energetic, resourceful and success-oriented organic chemist to join a multidisciplinary research team developing new technologies for nucleic acid sequence analysis.
PhD in organic chemistry, including training and practical laboratory experience in synthetic-, physical- and bio-organic chemistry.Expertise in the use of methods of instrumental chemical analysis instrumentation, such as HPLC, MS, NMR, FTIR, etc., is essential.Experience with nucleoside, nucleotide, and oligonucleotide chemistry.Working knowledge and practical experience with polymer and surface chemistry is also desirable.Demonstrated ability to plan and execute independent and collaborative research projects.Hands-on attitude and innovative approach to problem solving.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Co-authorship on one or more publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Plan and carry out research experiments involving synthesis and modification of nucleotides and oligonucleotides; and the analysis of their characteristics in various biochemical reactions.Collaborate with and/or supervise other research scientists & associates on relevant joint projects.
