Position Summary
CareFlite is seeking a skilled and dependable Ground Fleet Mechanic to support the safety and reliability of our ground ambulance fleet. This role is responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure all vehicles remain operational and ready to serve our communities 24/7.

Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on CareFlite ambulancesConduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend vehicle lifeDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and manual techniquesRepair or replace components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systemsMaintain accurate service records and manage parts and inventoryCoordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and parts procurementRespond to roadside service calls and perform field repairs when possibleEnsure compliance with all safety regulations and company policiesCollaborate with operations to schedule maintenance with minimal disruptionParticipate in evaluation and selection of new fleet vehicles and equipmentStay current on automotive technologies and industry best practicesWork Environment

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of maintenance experience on applicable vehicle chassisKnowledge of fleet maintenance procedures and automotive systemsProficiency in the use of tools and diagnostic equipmentStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressureAbility to maintain professionalism and composure in high-stress situationsPreferred Qualifications
