The Oracle database developer is responsible for the physical database design and development.
Essential FunctionsDesign Logical Data Models and their physical schema design in Oracle 11g/10g databaseBuild databases depicting the physical designCreate Tables, Views, Indexes and SequencesDevelop PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, SQL statements in Oracle 11g/10gManage database security - Users, Roles, Privileges and SynonymsPerformance Tuning including tuning/optimizing SQL, PL/SQL codeWork with XML, large objectsDevelop routines in Oracle using SQL*Loader , third party vendor APIs to load/integrate data between systemsPreparation of development estimates and design documents Extensive Experience in designing data models and building Databases in Oracle 11g/10gProven Development Experience in SQL and PL/SQL Programming in Oracle 11g/10g in a Unix EnvironmentExperience working with XML Experience in Database Schema creation and managementExperience with Oracle Performance TuningExperience working with development tools like TOADStrong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsSupervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Required Education and Experience
Oracle 11G – 2 years
Development 5 years
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
