Job Summary:. The welder is responsible for fitting and welding aluminum parts using a MIG and /or TIG process. Also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his supervisor
Essential Duties:
Set up welding machines based on the job at hand and using a Welding Procedure Specification. Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements. Ensure work is done safely and meets qualify standards Follow, create, and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications Operate machinery used in the production process Assemble items as instructed by supervisor Follow all safety rules and quality standards Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.Skills and Qualifications:
Experience with, aluminum, and /or stainless steel required Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds consistently requiredAbility to identify and measure material Ability to produce quality products consistently Knowledge of machine and tools, including the designs and uses Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges
Welding certificate required2+ years of experienceGood communication skills
