Controls Engineer is responsible for the complete automation package design including schematics, PLC, motion and programming The position is responsible for generating and managing electrical drawings and sketches required to effectively fabricate, install and/or commission customer defined systems. PLC selection and programming, maintaining / modifying drawings in support of our standard offerings, develop controls narratives and assist with developing operating manuals. Develop programming as needed for the projects: programming PLCs, HMIs, and Servo drives. Capable of setting functionality and communication with customer controls systems such as Ethercat, Profinet and Ethernet IP. Sizing Motors, Drives, and overloads. Familiar with Safety Controls and circuits. Calculate loads, fault current, and voltage drop. Perform final acceptance testing / checkouts, point-to-point checkout of electrical and control systems.
