Key Responsibilities
Supplier Quality Management
Supplier qualification, evaluation, auditing, and development.Conduct process, product, system, CSR, and special audits at supplier locations.Monitor supplier quality performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Inspection & Quality Assurance
Inspection and measurement of bought-out parts, fabricated components, sheet metal parts, machined components, and assemblies.Preparation and review of Quality Assurance Plans (QAP).Preparation and approval of measurement protocols and inspection reports.Review of customer-specific quality requirements and implementation at supplier end.Claim & Problem Resolution
Manage supplier quality claims and customer complaints.Drive Root Cause Analysis and CAPA using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.Support containment actions and verification of effectiveness.Project Quality
Review and approval of PPAP, ISIR / FPI, and customer quality documentation.Support new product development and supplier onboarding activities.Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements.Team Management & Leadership
Lead and develop Quality engineers and inspectors.Resource planning, competency development, and workload management.Drive cross-functional collaboration amongst SCM, Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Suppliers.Continuous Improvement & Risk Management
Identify quality risks and implement preventive actions.Drive Lean, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.Promote a proactive quality culture throughout the supply chain. Qualification
B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical EngineeringExperience
10 to 15 years of relevant experience in Supplier Quality, Incoming Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Project Quality
