Position Summary
Responsible to get all gauges calibrated either internally or send out to a 3rd party calibration company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Keep records of calibration that take placePerform calibrations of hand-held gauges such as: Calipers, micrometer, air gauges, air spindles, test blocks, torque wrenches, depth gauges, and other gauges that can be calibrated internally.Calibrate gauges that are fixed in assembly area/test stands: Flow meters, pressure transducers, collets, vacuum gauges and others.Verify calibration status of electric torque wrenchesAssist in outside calibration activities by creating and receiving POsCommunicate to team when equipment is found out of calibration. Communicate the need to update calibration documents when needed.Update Q-Pulse and daily workloadPerform calibrations on timeCommunicate the need to create TDRs for when schedule cannot be met. Participate in Gage R&R’s.Complete workload on timeAble to communicate processes for internal and external audits.Assist on documented continuous improvement projectsPerforms other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
HS school diploma or equivalentSome manufacturing experience a plusProficient with MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and OutlookAble to read written instructions, visual control plans and diagramsStrong math skillsAbility to function effectively as part of a teamKnowledge of quality control equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges preferredAbility to see details at close rangeAbility to follow written and verbal instructions given in EnglishMust be able to meet quality and productivity standardsPhysical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
Standing and repetitive liftingAbility to stay on task for long periods of timeMust be able to stand and sit for long periods of timeAbility to lift 35-50 lbs.Work Environment
A portion of the work time is spent in a manufacturing environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high. The remaining of the time will be in a temperature controlled room. PPE required as determined by company safety standards: safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, safety shoes
Salary and Benefits:
The hourly range for the position is $20- $24/hour. The individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
