Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Measurement
Inspection and measurement of sheet metal, fabrication, machined, bought-out, and assembly components.Preparation and review of measurement protocols and inspection reports.Verification of customer-specific quality requirements.Supplier Quality Management
Handling supplier quality issues and claims.Follow-up and verification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Support supplier qualification, evaluation, and development activities.Participate in supplier audits and ensure closure of audit findings.Quality Planning & Documentation
Preparation and review of Quality Assurance Plans (QAP).Review of PPAP, ISIR, and related quality documentation.Maintenance of inspection records and quality documentation.Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
Conduct Root Cause Analysis using 5Why, Fishbone, 8D, etc.Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives.Support reduction of supplier PPM and repeat quality issues.Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Engineering, SCM, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Suppliers for quality-related topics.Coordinate supplier visits and quality improvement activities
Qualification
B.E./B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering with 6-10 years of experiencePreferred Skills
