About this role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst Intern to join our finance team in Plymouth, United States. In this role, you will support our financial analysis initiatives by assisting with data compilation, financial modeling, and reporting. Assist in analyzing financial data and preparing comprehensive financial reports for management reviewSupport the development and maintenance of financial models for forecasting and scenario analysisCompile and organize financial information from various sources to ensure accuracy and completenessPerform variance analysis by comparing actual financial results against budgets and forecastsResearch financial trends, market data, and industry benchmarks to support analytical projectsPrepare presentations and visualizations to communicate financial findings to stakeholdersCollaborate with team members across the finance department to gather data and insightsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the efficiency of financial operationsMaintain organized documentation and records of all financial analysis work performedSupport ad-hoc financial analysis projects as assigned by senior team members Minimum Qualifications:

Currently pursing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. Minimum GPA of 3.0Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tablesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handlingSolid organizational and time management skillsClear written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentBasic understanding of financial statements and accounting principlesPreferred Qualifications:

Experience with financial modeling and forecasting techniquesFamiliarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BIKnowledge of SQL or database query languagesExperience with accounting software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systemsUnderstanding of financial analysis methodologies and best practicesExperience:

Coursework or practical projects in finance, accounting, business, or related fieldPrior experience with financial data analysis or business analyticsInternship or project experience working with financial datasets Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.
