About this role
Technical Project Manager (TPM) is a key role for the successful execution of our Steering projects. The position offers a large variety of technical and managerial aspects. The TPM is responsible for leading a cross-functional team to release an electronic steering module for series production. They are the technical lead for the project, main customer interface, are expected to have knowledge of all technical areas of focus and driving these to production. They will be expected to own the project from acquisition through start of production and beyond.
Lead cross-functional team comprised of software and hardware (mechanical and electrical) component managers, software function developers and calibration engineersDefine and track work packagesResponsible for requirements management and evaluation of customer specificationsFirst point of contact for the OEM on all technical topics related to the projectAlign and negotiate scope and timing with the customerEnsure system and software development, validation, and delivery are according to guidelines and processes (e.g., ISO26262, ASPICE).Lead weekly meetings with the customer and internal project teamsReport project status to US senior management monthlyMaintain all project records and documentationCoordinate Design Change Requests from the OEMPrepare and communicate technical presentations for the customer Required :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ME, EE, or related)4 or more years of experience in technical project management, project lead, or project management4 or more years of experience in automotive, motorsport or heavy equipment industry2 or more years of vehicle networking, diagnostics and debugging complex systems and/or hands-on (mechanical or electrical) experience2 or more years of experience with vehicle and/or system test and release procedures in automotive, or related industryValid driver's licensePreferred Qualifications:
Experience with vehicle and system test and release procedures in automotive, or related industryGood understanding of vehicle architecture and chassis control interfacesCapable to understand embedded control software and communicate software changesExperience in systems / requirements engineeringAbility to structure, moderate and promote collaboration with international teams, negotiate with customerKnowledge of vehicle dynamics and braking systemsExperience with Calibration (vehicle testing) of EPS or related steering systemsStrong sense of responsibility, commitment, and innovative thinkingStrong leadership skills and highly self-motivatedGood written / verbal communication and presentation skillsCapable of working independently in an organized and structured fashionSafe vehicle driving and good vehicle handling skillsComfortable with testing activities in vehicles By choice, we are committed to a diverse workforce - EOE/Protected Veteran/Disabled.
