About this role

Development and design of the Power Unit/Manifold product linesCreate, amend, and verify assembly and detail design drawings for the manufacturing of power units based on customer requirements/specifications and in accordance with department and industry standardsProduce design releases and final production bills of materialsGenerate Engineering Change Notifications when necessaryDesign cost efficient and technically sound power units/manifoldsResponsible for meeting project time and budget requirementsAssist Production and Quality departments with risk assessments of deviations to design, including FEASupport Sales & Engineering in the review of customer specifications prior to quotation, including design time estimates as well as conceptual designsWork with other departments or outside vendors in proper specification or interpretation of materials or work instructionsMaintain well-organized design files in accordance with department and company proceduresCollaborate with cross-functional teams on design optimization and manufacturability reviews to ensure efficient productionConduct design reviews and provide technical feedback to ensure all designs meet specifications and quality standardsDocument design decisions and maintain comprehensive design history records for traceability and future referenceParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes, efficiency, and overall product performanceProvide technical support during prototype testing and validation phases to verify design functionality and performance

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited institutionExperience with 3D CAD software, creating 3D designs and performing FEA (i.e. - Autodesk Inventor, CREO)Able to learn how to read schematic and circuitsExperience with pipe and tubing specification and designFamiliar with tolerance stack up analysisKnowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and applicationsExposure to product development process and DFMEAExperience with hydraulic and/or pneumatic system design and component selectionProficiency in technical drawing standards and documentation (ANSI, ISO)Capable to prioritize tasks and to meet deadlinesAbility to approach problems using a systematic problem-solving methodExperience with material selection and specification for manufacturing applicationsExcellent communication skillsProject management experience or demonstrated ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneouslySelf-motivated individual who is team oriented and possesses strong analytical capabilitiesAble to travel to the Pennsylvania, USA for training on a regular basis, specially during the onboarding/training process
